What’s the difference?

We regularly participate in general tenders, where your project and construction management are handled separately from your contractor. General tenders are often required by some clients where Construction Management is not permitted. We welcome all opportunities to bid on projects, whether General Tender or Construction Management.

Phasing & Scheduling

Our industry experience with phasing for both small and large scale projects is reflected in our detailed construction schedule provided upon the award of the construction project. We work with the subcontractors directly, to secure lead times for material items which may have an impact on the construction schedule. If any fall outside of the schedule, or impact the stipulated completion date, we offer alternatives to bring the timing back in line with the contract documents.

Value Added Services

CLI’s approach to all projects includes our best practices, which we apply to both Construction Management and General Tender projects. Upon award of a General Tender, we engage our project team to review IFC drawings against the stipulated schedule, and identify risks which may impact construction. We offer solutions which still protect your design intent as well as ensuring your construction is completed in time for your move workplan.
